12. Alisha Mullally on Thriving in Chaos, “Getting Lost” Creatively, and Entering Her Healing Girl Era

Alisha Mullally (Actress, Voice-Over Artist, Dancer) is like a shot of tequila in human form. In this interview, Alisha douses us with bold honesty, next-level energy, and exudes passion for being a life long artist who will be pursuing her career until she’s in the grave.

We discuss how getting discovered at a beauty pageant she wasn’t registered for led to becoming a child actor and later dancing on an international world tour. We dive into feeling lost as a teenager and losing momentum when she first arrived in LA. She mentions community being a foundational element of an actor's career and how she’s found it more difficult to create community in the new era of the industry. Yet, she’s embraced how she’ll “never figure out the industry” as it’s ever-evolving and she’s here for the ride.

— Going from child actor to re-finding her path as an adult in the industry

— Difficult work experiences and how we’re taught to “push through it”

— Entering her healing girl era and how she’s grounding in stillness

— AI’s threat to the voiceover industry and how robots are doing nails

— Creating your own compass to follow as an artist

— Her vocal injury and how health is more important than a job

— Perseverance + enjoying where she’s at because she’s worked so damn hard
