Ezekiel 6–13 | A New Heart and a New Spirit

Ezekiel 6–13 | A New Heart and a New Spirit

In this Sleepy Scriptures One-Year Bible episode, we continue through the book of Ezekiel with chapters 6 through 13 from the King James Version.

Ezekiel’s visions reveal the depth of Judah’s idolatry and the judgment approaching Jerusalem. The prophet is shown hidden abominations within the temple, the marking of those who grieve over the city’s sins, and the solemn departure of the glory of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Yet even within these difficult chapters, God speaks words of hope to His scattered people. Though they have been driven into distant lands, He promises to be “as a little sanctuary” to them. He also looks ahead to restoration, declaring that He will give His people one heart and put a new spirit within them.

Ezekiel is also called to act out the coming exile and to confront prophets who offer false assurances of peace. Settle in with gentle narration, soothing music, and peaceful visuals as Ezekiel chapters 6 to 13 remind us of the holiness of God, the seriousness of His word, and His presence with His people even far from home.
