Ezekiel 24–30 | They Shall Know That I Am the Lord

In this Sleepy Scriptures One-Year Bible episode, we continue through the book of Ezekiel with chapters 24 through 30 from the King James Version.

The reading begins on the very day the siege of Jerusalem commences. Through the image of a boiling pot, Ezekiel announces that the long-promised judgment has arrived. Then the prophet himself is given a deeply personal sign when his wife dies, and he is instructed to bear his grief in an unusual way before the people.

Ezekiel’s attention then turns outward. Ammon, Moab, Edom, Philistia, Tyre, Sidon, and Egypt each receive prophetic words. Powerful cities and proud rulers have trusted in wealth, commerce, military strength, and their own greatness, but Ezekiel declares that every nation ultimately stands beneath the authority of God.

Again and again comes the refrain: “They shall know that I am the LORD.”

Settle in with gentle narration, soothing music, and peaceful visuals as Ezekiel chapters 24 to 30 remind us that kingdoms rise and fall, human pride is temporary, but the purposes and sovereignty of the Lord endure.
