Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami Airport, Killing Five.

The precise cause of the Amazon Air cargo plane crash at Miami International Airport today remains undetermined. The incident took place at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, 2026.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are currently initiating an investigation to explore possible mechanical failures, weather conditions, runway status, and crew actions.
Prime Air Flight 7598, a Boeing 767-300 cargo aircraft operated by 21 Air, overran Runway 30 after arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Authorities have confirmed a minimum of five fatalities and five injuries, with three individuals in critical condition.
Authorities are currently evaluating if there were any casualties on the aircraft in addition to the vehicles affected on the ground. The aircraft penetrated the perimeter, entered an adjacent roadway/area, and struck multiple ground vehicles before catching fire.
The catastrophe led to a complete ground halt at Miami International Airport, resulting in significant flight delays and cancellations throughout the day.
To date, Amazon Air has encountered two fatal accidents since the e-commerce giant commenced its cargo airline operations in 2015. The most recent air accident occurred in February 2019 (Trinity Bay, Texas), when an Atlas Air Boeing 767 cargo plane operating for Amazon Air crashed into Trinity Bay near Houston while en route from Miami.
All three individuals on board perished, with federal investigators attributing the incident to pilot error.
