Cy: Gyda dyfodiad gwanwyn, roedd yr haul yn tywynnu drwy'r ffenestr ystafell gegin tŷ mawr a oedd wedi gweld gwell dyddiau, yn goleuo'r llanast bendigedig o lestri pobi a wasanaethau ar hyd y cownter.
En: With the arrival of spring, the sun shone through the kitchen window of the large house that had seen better days, illuminating the wonderful mess of baking dishes and services all over the counter.

Cy: Roedd Gareth wedi penderfynu arwain ym maes coginio heddiw.
En: Gareth had decided to take the lead in the field of cooking today.

Cy: Roedd am ddangos i Carys nad oedd ei dalentau'n stopio gyda'r tostiwr.
En: He wanted to show Carys that his talents didn’t stop with the toaster.

Cy: Roedd yn mynd i geisio pobi tarten ceirios.
En: He was going to attempt baking a cherry tart.

En: With much enthusiasm, Gareth began.

En: When it came to the step of adding butter to the dough, he found that he had less butter than needed.

En: "No problem," said Gareth again, "Carys would figure something out."

En: Indeed, Carys stood to the side, watching, with a subtle laugh filling the room.

Cy: "Beth am ddefnyddio 'chydig o flawd ychwanegol?" meddai hi, clyfar iawn.
En: "How about using a bit of extra flour?" she suggested, very cleverly.

Cy: Gareth eisteddodd, yn penderfynu mynd ymlaen gyda syniad, er bod y pryderiadau yn parhau i dyllu'n gilwg.
En: Gareth sat down, deciding to go ahead with the idea, even though concerns continued to gnaw at him.

En: He managed to prepare the dough as best as he could, then spread the cherries on top, persuading the dough to stick together poorly.
