4:20 pm Last week, Mohan Bhagwat, the sixth Sarsanghchalak Chief of the Indian Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) organization visited New York City and addressed an audience of over 5,000 people in MadisonSquare Gardens, drawing in supporters from across the country for the Universal Oneness Celebration. It was billed as a landmark cultural and interfaith gathering centered on the message of being different and still belonging to one another, reflecting the Hindu philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – the world is one family. The message and event were advertised in a full page in the Wall Street Journal. Activist Vijay Pallod attended the event and is with us today to describe what happened there.

5:00 pm In an apparent case of overzealous bureaucraticoverreach, since April 2024, the Federal Department of Justice has been pursuing allegations of Medicaid fraud against a respected gynecologic oncologist, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, and his 12-year medical practice in Memphis. On a note from Medicaid, FBI Agents raided his office to investigate why he performed 9 times more procedures than competitive groups and fell in the statistical outlier area, even as Medicaid itself praised his work. In September 2024, the Tennessee Medical Board dismissed all charges against him. Undeterred, the DOJ pressed on and filed charges of sexual assault, rape and human trafficking against him. Listen to this gripping story as Dr. Kumar relates what has happened and how he is fighting a 20-year jail term for these ridiculous charges.
