Many speculate that this is the result of a warming climate which caused the glacier to melt, just as others aredoing all over the world. According to a recent UN Climate report, the world will cross the critical 1.5°C global warmingthreshold in the coming years, increasing the danger of irreversible tipping points like ice sheet destabilization, Amazon rainforest degradation, and disruption of ocean currents. We turn to Dr Ganesh Thakur, a DistinguishedProfessor of Petroleum, Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at the University of Houston and an expert on climate change to share his thoughts ofthe future of weather.
