Heart Break and Family Drama in The Last Man by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley

I started reading this early early apocalyptic novel years ago and it’s taking a long road to reach where it’s going. But the boring stories of some of the worst people you have ever heard from are sure to help you sleep.

Raymond and Perdita continue to break each other’s hearts through lack of communication and putting each other on pedestals, and their friends are trying to intercede before everything collapses. But it really is a boring read and reminds me I never liked Frankenstein either. So it’s great for bedtime.
