Caleb Flynn Court Coverage Day 6: Pastor Says Alleigha Resigned WHEN?

Jordan Hansen testified that Alleigha Botner was house-sitting at his home when prosecutors allege Ashley Flynn was killed. Hansen, pastor of Christian Life Center, also told jurors that relationships between staff and volunteers are prohibited unless they are married, and that an extramarital affair would violate church policy. He said Alleigha resigned from CLC the following weekend.

Caleb Flynn has pleaded not guilty to charges including aggravated murder in the death of his wife, Ashley Flynn. Prosecutors allege Caleb staged the scene to resemble a home-invasion burglary. The defense says a real intruder killed Ashley and investigators rushed to judgment.

Neighbor Joseph Stratman supplied another piece of the timeline. He testified that his home surveillance cameras showed no evidence of an outside intruder entering the property. Prosecutors played three clips showing a car leaving the house, returning, and leaving again, which the state used to place Alleigha at the home during the relevant time period.

Cross-examination put limits around that footage. Hansen testified there was no surveillance inside or outside his home and said farmland and an open field sit behind the property. The jury heard what the cameras captured - and, just as importantly, what they could not.
