Sl: Luka je stopal po ozki poti med polji cvetlične kmetije ob Blejskem jezeru.
En: Luka walked along the narrow path between the fields of the flower farm by Blejsko lake.

Sl: Jesen je barvala drevesa v zlate in rdeče odtenke.
En: Autumn was painting the trees in gold and red hues.

Sl: Vreme je bilo ravno pravšnje; hladen veter je nežno pihljal, in sonce je sijalo na vrhove kranjskih hribov.
En: The weather was just right; a cool breeze gently blew, and the sun shone on the tops of the Slovenian hills.

Sl: Luka je bil poln pričakovanj in vznemirjenja – danes je bil šolski izlet na cvetlično kmetijo!
En: Luka was full of anticipation and excitement – today was the school trip to the flower farm!

Sl: Maja in Nika, njegovi sošolki, sta hodili za njim in klepetali.
En: Maja and Nika, his classmates, walked behind him, chatting.

Sl: Luka pa je bil odločen najti nekaj posebnega.
En: But Luka was determined to find something special.

Sl: Nekaj, kar bi očaralo sošolce in učiteljico.
En: Something that would enchant his classmates and the teacher.

Sl: Ob pogledu na vse tiste rože, ki so v jesenskem soncu nastavljale svoje pisane cvetove, je njegovemu srcu hitreje bilo.
En: Looking at all those flowers, which in the autumn sun were exposing their colorful blooms, his heart beat faster.

Sl: »Pogledajte, kako lepe so te krizanteme,« je zaklicala Maja in pokazala na vrsto belih cvetov, ki so se polagoma obešali pod svojo lastno težo.
En: "Look at how beautiful these chrysanthemums are," called out Maja and pointed to a row of white flowers that were gently drooping under their own weight.

Sl: Luka pa je opazoval nekaj drugega.
En: But Luka was watching something else.

Sl: Gledal je proti robu polja, kjer so visoke trave skrivale redke rože.
En: He was looking towards the edge of the field, where tall grasses hid rare flowers.

Sl: Toda tam je bil problem.
En: Yet there was a problem.

Sl: Odrasla mama so ga svarile, da tam živijo pajki in drugi insekti, ki so ga že od malega plašili.
En: His mother had warned him that spiders and other insects, which had scared him since he was little, lived there.

Sl: Sošolci so začeli nabirati cvetje v bližini, kjer je bilo vse varno in lahko dostopno.
En: His classmates began gathering flowers nearby, where everything was safe and easily accessible.

Sl: Toda Luka je želel več.
En: But Luka wanted more.

Sl: Pozabil je na strah in se odpravil proti skritim kotičkom polja.
En: He forgot his fear and headed towards the hidden corners of the field.

Sl: »Luka, ne hodi tja!« ga je opozorila Nika, »tam so pajki!«
En: "Luka, don't go there!" Nika warned him, "There are spiders there!"

Sl: Toda Luka je bil odločen.
En: But Luka was determined.

Sl: Z nogo si je utiral pot med travami in cvetličnimi glavicami, dokler ni naletel na nekaj resnično osupljivega.
En: He made his way through the grasses and flower heads with his foot until he stumbled upon something truly astonishing.

Sl: Med bujnim grmičevjem je zagledal redek, pisan cvet, ki ga nikoli prej ni videl.
En: Among the lush shrubs, he saw a rare, colorful flower he had never seen before.

Sl: »Poglej, Maja!« jo je poklical, a se hkrati zgrozil, ko je opazil velik pajek tik pod cvetom.
En: "Look, Maja!" he called out to her, but simultaneously shuddered when he noticed a large spider just below the flower.

Sl: Noge so se mu nenadoma zdele težke, strah ga je zmrazil.
En: His legs suddenly felt heavy, his fear frozen him.

Sl: Vendar je Luka globoko vdihnil.
En: However, Luka took a deep breath.

Sl: Spomnil se je na toliko reči v naravi, ki so ga že prevzele.
En: He remembered so many things in nature that had already captivated him.

Sl: Čeprav se je bal, je v tem cvetu videl lepoto, ki je presegala strah.
En: Even though he was afraid, he saw in this flower a beauty that transcended fear.

Sl: Previdno, z roko, ki mu je rahlo drhtela, je prijel za cvet in hitro umaknil roke, ko je pajek stekel na drugo stran.
En: Carefully, with a slightly trembling hand, he grasped the flower and quickly withdrew his hand as the spider scurried to the other side.

Sl: Ko se je vrnil do Maje in Nike, so se mu sošolci približali, občudovali so cvet, ki ga je prinesel.
En: When he returned to Maja and Nika, his classmates gathered around him, admiring the flower he had brought.

Sl: Učiteljica je bila navdušena in Luka je čutil neizmerno ponos.
En: The teacher was delighted, and Luka felt immense pride.

Sl: Na tem izletu se ni le naučil o rožah, ampak tudi o lastnih sposobnostih.
En: On this trip, he learned not only about flowers but also about his own abilities.

Sl: Pogumno se je soočil s strahom in odkril, da ima pogum, ki ga prej ni poznal.
En: Bravely, he faced his fear and discovered that he had a courage he hadn't known before.

Sl: Ko sta se s sošolkama vračala k avtobusu, je Maji rekel: »Mogoče pa insekti niso tako strašni, kot sem mislil.«
En: As he and his classmates headed back to the bus, he said to Maja, "Maybe insects aren't as scary as I thought."

Sl: In z nasmehom na obrazu je opazoval, kako se jesensko sonce počasi spušča za hribi, zadovoljno vedoč, da je danes postal malo bolj pogumen fant.
En: And with a smile on his face, he watched as the autumn sun slowly set behind the hills, satisfied knowing that today he had become a little braver boy.
