Why Jesus Never Disputed Satan's Claim to the World | The Revealed One EP2

Satan offered Jesus every kingdom in the world. But there is a strange detail in the temptation account that most people read right past. Jesus never told Satan the kingdoms were not his to give. In Luke 4, Satan says the authority of the kingdoms of the world had been “delivered” to him and that he could give it to whomever he chose. Jesus rejected the offer, refused to worship him, and quoted Scripture. But He never disputed the claim. Why? In Episode 2 of The Revealed One, we examine the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness and the much larger biblical story behind Satan’s offer. We trace the connection between: • Jesus’ 40 days in the wilderness • Adam, Israel, and the failure of the first sons • Satan’s claim over the kingdoms of the world • The “prince of this world” in the Gospel of John • Deuteronomy 32 and the nations • Psalm 82 and the divine council • The princes of Persia and Greece in Daniel 10 • The Dead Sea Scrolls and the Dominion of Belial • Daniel 4 and the authority to give kingdoms • Revelation 13 and the authority given to the Beast • The temptation to take the Kingdom without the Cross • Jesus receiving all authority after the resurrection The question is not simply whether Satan was lying. The deeper question is this: What authority did Satan actually possess, where did it come from, and why would Jesus refuse a kingdom that Scripture already said would one day belong to Him? The answer changes the way we understand spiritual warfare, political power, earthly kingdoms, the Cross, and Christ’s victory over the ruler of this world. This is The Revealed One, Episode 2.
