Honey Breath: Your Two-Minute Escape from Tuesday Tension

Honey Breath: Your Two-Minute Escape from Tuesday Tension

Hey there, friend. I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you're here with me today. Whether you're starting your morning or stealing a quiet moment before the afternoon rush, I see you. I know that Tuesday energy is real, and right now, wherever you are in your day, there's probably a little knot of tension somewhere in your body, right? Maybe it's in your shoulders, your jaw, or just that general feeling of being wound a little too tight. Today, we're going to unwind that together. So let's start by just getting comfortable. You don't need to sit in any fancy position. Feet on the ground, back supported, wherever feels good. And if you're moving around, that's okay too. Just find a way to be here with yourself for the next few minutes. Notice what it feels like to pause. That alone is an act of rebellion against stress. Now, let's anchor ourselves with some gentle breathing. Breathe in slowly through your nose for a count of four. Hold it for just a moment. And release through your mouth for a count of six. That longer exhale? That's your body's natural off switch. Do that a few more times at your own pace. In for four, hold, and out for six. Notice how your nervous system is already softening. Here's what we're going to do now, and I call this the Body Scan Release. As you continue breathing, I want you to imagine your breath like warm honey, slowly flowing down from the top of your head. Feel it melting away any tightness in your forehead, your eyes, your jaw. So many of us hold stress right there in our faces without even knowing it. Let it go. Now, guide that warm, golden breath down through your neck and shoulders. This is where tension loves to hide, isn't it? Just acknowledge it. Say hello to that tightness like an old friend. And as you exhale, imagine it dissolving like morning mist. Keep moving that honey-like awareness down through your chest, your heart space, your belly. Your breath is a gentle healer, moving through every place that's been holding onto worry. Continue down through your legs, all the way to your feet. And with your final few breaths, imagine all that stress, all that tension, just flowing out through the soles of your feet and back into the earth. The earth can handle it. That's literally what it does. Take one more deep breath here. Notice how different your body feels. This? This is your baseline for calm. And you can return here anytime, even for just two minutes. Carry this with you today. When you feel that tension creeping back, remember your honey breath. You've got this. Thank you so much for joining me on Stress Relief today.
