Ro: Pe țărmul pustiu al Mării Negre, în Constanța, timpul părea să se oprească pentru Andrei și Ioana.
En: On the deserted shore of the Marea Neagră, in Constanța, time seemed to stop for Andrei and Ioana.

Ro: Era o zi de toamnă, iar vântul aducea cu el o adiere ușor răcoroasă ce împrăștia mirosul sărat al mării.
En: It was an autumn day, and the wind carried a slightly cool breeze that spread the salty smell of the sea.

Ro: Cuplul se plimba printre scoicile presărate pe nisipul moale, în timp ce pescărușii, zgomotoși și curioși, îi observau de sus.
En: The couple strolled among the shells scattered on the soft sand, while the seagulls, noisy and curious, watched them from above.

Ro: Andrei era vizibil agitat, dar hotărât.
En: Andrei was visibly agitated but determined.

Ro: Ioana, totuși, observase comportamentul neobișnuit al lui Andrei.

Ro: "De ce e atât de agitat?", se întreba ea în timp ce se așezau pe pătură, privindu-l cum se juca cu sandvișul.
En: "Why is he so agitated?" she wondered as they sat on the blanket, watching him play with the sandwich.

Ro: Însă nu a mai avut timp să-l întrebe, căci un pescăruș îndrăzneț a zburat în cercuri deasupra lor și, într-o clipă, a înhățat prada gustoasă chiar din mâna lui Andrei.
En: But she didn't have time to ask because a bold seagull flew in circles above them and, in an instant, snatched the tasty prize right from Andrei's hand.

Ro: Andrei a rămas câteva secunde cu gura căscată, nevenindu-i să creadă.
En: Andrei stood for a few seconds with his mouth open, unable to believe it.

Ro: Apoi, a izbucnit în râs.
En: Then, he burst into laughter.

Ro: "Ei bine, acolo s-a dus prânzul nostru!" a spus el, încercând să îndepărteze mulțimea de pescăruși zgomotoși care se adunaseră.
En: "Well, there goes our lunch!" he said, trying to ward off the noisy crowd of seagulls that had gathered.

En: With eyes full of tears of joy and laughter lost in the humor of the moment, Ioana responded, "Yes, of course!"
