123: Your Cycle Isn’t Random: The Free App Helping You Feel Better Every Month (DotDays)

123: Your Cycle Isn’t Random: The Free App Helping You Feel Better Every Month (DotDays)

Can an app help you understand your cycle and feel better each month?

In this episode of The Cycle, I talk with Michael Moses (Co-Founder and CEO) and Dr. Katherine Black (Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer) of DotDays, a free women’s health app that gives personalized guidance on nutrition, mood, sleep, exercise, and period symptoms based on where you are in your cycle.

Dr. Black is an associate professor in Human Nutrition at the University of Otago in New Zealand, where her research looks at how nutrition and lifestyle affect women’s reproductive health. Michael previously led marketing for the ParticipACTION health and fitness app.

We get into:

  • Why they built DotDays and the problem it solves for people struggling with cycle symptoms
  • How the app uses AI to adjust recommendations to your body and your cycle phase
  • The science behind the app and what the research says about lifestyle and period health
  • How this app can help patients with endo and PMOS
