S3 Ep11: Around the NHL: Darren Pang on Bedard, Hellebuyck, and the Rangers

John Shannon and Daren Millard welcome longtime NHL broadcaster and former goaltender Darren Pang back to 100% Hockey for a wide-ranging conversation about the Chicago Blackhawks, early-season surprises, and some of the biggest questions developing around the league.

Panger shares his thoughts on Connor Bedard's return to the Blackhawks lineup and the growing chemistry between Bedard and Patrick Kane. The conversation explores Chicago's development, the impact of having an experienced veteran like Kane alongside its young star, and what the Blackhawks could become as the season progresses.

The guys also turn their attention to the New York Rangers, discussing the emergence of goaltender Dylan Garand and how the team has responded early in the season. That leads into a broader conversation about Connor Hellebuyck's uncertain future in Winnipeg, the challenges facing teams in the competitive Central Division, and how goaltending situations could influence the NHL landscape.

In Detroit, John, Daren and Panger discuss the possibility of the Red Wings adding a President of Hockey Operations, including whether Brendan Shanahan could be a fit for the organization.

Pang also shares some memorable stories from his playing career, including the history behind his goalie masks, a replica connected to the Hockey Hall of Fame, and his experience at the 2017 Winter Classic.
It's another entertaining conversation with Panger, combining firsthand hockey stories, early-season observations, and plenty of laughs as the guys work their way around the NHL.
