Filling the Data Gap: Lucy Wark on Sex Education and Women's Health

Lucy Wark is the founder of normal, a business making modern sex toys and essentials to fund free, digital, expert led sex education. Lucy shares how normal was built to bridge that gap, offering free courses, guides and social content that avoid the two extremes sex education often falls into: overly clinical or overly crude. She talks about the research normal conducts to close the data gap on sex and wellbeing, particularly for Australian women, and how the platform has grown to reach millions of people across 40 countries. She also opens up about the importance of informed consent, why pain should never be treated as a normal part of sex, and how her own mindset shifted from thinking her way through problems to learning to listen to what her body was telling her.
