#68 - Talia Eisenberg: Ibogaine 101

#68 - Talia Eisenberg: Ibogaine 101

More than 15 years ago, Talia Eisenberg took ibogaine in Mexico with no doctors and no preparation. In that journey, her late grandmother, an Auschwitz survivor, told her to stop poisoning herself. She also saw a medically advanced healing center. Years later it was the first property a realtor showed her when she set out to open an ibogaine center in Cancun: Beond.

In this Ibogaine 101 episode, Beond producer Eamon Armstrong interviews Ibogaine Uncovered host Talia Eisenberg. The conversation covers the April executive order on psychedelic research, what ibogaine is and where it comes from, and the Stanford study of special operations veterans. They also explore how ibogaine acts on the brain, ethical sourcing, cardiac risks, who should not take ibogaine, what to ask when vetting a clinic, what a stay at Beond looks like from preparation through flood and fractional doses, and why integration is a lifelong process.

Talia Eisenberg is the cofounder of Beond and the host of Ibogaine Uncovered. She also founded the Ibogaine Research Institute, a San Francisco nonprofit that raises funds and awareness for ibogaine as a treatment for opioid addiction.
