Heinäkuussa 2001 20-vuotias Sef Gonzales palasi illanvietosta kotiin ja löysi perheensä murhattuna. Seinälle kirjoitettu rasistinen kirjoitus viittasi siihen, että teko saattoi olla viharikos.
