Episode 62: Battling SIBO and Using Wellness to Heal

Join me for a conversation with health coach, Kelley Sinnock where we get to listen and learn how she is using holistic self-care to help heal from digestive issues, anxiety, headaches and back pain. 2020, was the year that allowed Kelley to slow down and "let go" of all of the wellness "rules" and create space to slow down. In this episode, we talk about how to schedule self-care, stay motivated, create boundaries and how to be your own health advocate in our western health care system.

Kelley's Bio:

Kelley is a CPA by trade and a wellness enthusiast at heart. Her wellness journey began six years ago when she started experiencing digestive issues, anxiety and chronic headaches and back pain. She just didn't feel good and was desperate to do anything to feel like herself again. She saw countless doctors trying to uncover the root cause of her symptoms, but struggled to find a practitioner that took her complaints seriously. It wasn't until this year that she finally received a diagnosis for SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth). It was a relief to know that there was a reason she wasn't feeling good, but with her diagnosis came anxiety about the long treatment road ahead. She turned to mindfulness, meditation, yoga and therapy to help mitigate the stress her body was experiencing. She is also on an intuitive eating journey to heal her relationship with food after years of restriction and elimination diets. Although these past 6 years have been frustrating and emotionally draining, her experience has led her to pursue a career in health coaching to help others with chronic conditions struggling to find support in our traditional healthcare system.
