Interview with Beverley Schäfer, Minister of Economic Opportunities in Western Cape - #BAC19

Beverley Schäfer is the Minister of Economic Opportunities, Tourism & Agriculture in the Western Cape Province, and she was invited to speak at Blockchain Africa 2019, Africa's leading conference for the Blockchain and DLT industry.

Minister Schäfer is behind the Western Cape's rise to the top of South Africa's "highest average income" list, and is passionate about economic development in the country. One of the key areas for economic development is of course in the Tech industry, and with Blockchain being such a prominent area of R&D and development, Minister Schäfer couldn't turn down such an opportunity to be a keynote speaker at the conference.

James Preston of SA Crypto caught up with The Minister after her address, in which she highlights the need for innovative tech like Blockchain, and the need to support entrepreneurship in the Western Cape.
