How partnership working with people and communities results in better health outcomes/improved care

Welcome to the third and final episode of our new integrated care podcast series focusing on partnership working and relationship building across systems – Partnerships in Practice. This series brings together insight, knowledge and first-hand experience of how strong relationships have helped local partners to deliver more joined-up and effective responses to the collective challenges and pressures that systems face. On today’s episode we're focusing on the approaches taken within Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes (BLMK) Integrated Care System, and how collaboration between system partners and local communities is helping systems to design better solutions for the challenges local communities are facing. Our episode panel includes; Reverend Lloyd Denny, Julia Robson, BLMK Integrated Care Board (ICB) – Healthcare Inequalities Lead, Diana Blackmun, Central Bedfordshire Healthwatch and Michelle Summers, Associate Director of Communications and Engagement for BLMK ICB. Our host for today’s episode is Keymn Whervin, co-production manager for National Voices. Keymn and her panel of guests will also give more background to a health inequalities review from the system, led by Rev. Denny, to understand what the barriers to good health are for the local population and the benefits that partnership working can bring to everyone involved. Tune in now to discover something new.
