Story Time 1 (TW: Chronic Illness, Divorce, OCD, Anxiety)

Story Time 1 (TW: Chronic Illness, Divorce, OCD, Anxiety)

Hello you beautiful potato! This is an extra special episode, because it's the VERY FIRST story time! One of our amazing listeners wrote into the Google form and shared a story with me which I am so excited to share with you all. I decided to share this on a random day as a bonus, so I am not limited to sharing them only on Sundays so that if I ever get many stories I can share them as they come in. One of my main goals for this podcast is to share people's stories so that others can relate and find comfort that they are not alone. However, this isn't the only goal. I think that listening to the stories of others that are not relatable to you is also incredibly beneficial in opening our eyes to different experiences, learning about how others view the world, or deal with issues that occur in our lives. As a therapist, I have the privilege and honour to hear the stories of many wonderful humans, and I learn something every time I hear a story about someone's own perspective of their lives. I wanted to bring some of that to this podcast. As you will see in this episode, I simply read the story word for word from the google form, and I highlight a few aspects of it that stood out to me. I hope you enjoy this very first episode of Story time, if you would like to share your own story, please fill out the google form below. I would absolutely love it! Google form for submissions: https://forms.gle/87hBYpypVZnyp9Yt7 Thank you so much for your continued support, I hope you have a great day!
