A small Georgia town is rattled when an elderly couple Sarah and Carl Collier are brutally murdered in their home. Word soon spreads that the culprit is Holly Harvey, their troubled teenage granddaughter and her girlfriend Sandy Ketchum. Holly and Sandy both had broken childhoods. The pair became fast friends which blossomed into a romantic relationship--something that was not widely accepted at the time by their families or classmates.
