Preventing kidney complications: Information over fear

Preventing kidney complications: Information over fear

Talking about any possible complications from diabetes can be scary – and most of us only think of kidney issues in the worst possible way: transplant and dialysis. But there's a lot you can do to stay healthy and there's news from just this summer about how new medications are making a big difference to reduce your risk.

My guests this week are Dr. Bob Gabbay, Chief Scientific and Medical Officer, American Diabetes Association and Dr. Jeff Giullian, Chief Medical Officer of DaVita. DaVita Kidney Care is a leading provider of kidney care in the United States.

This podcast is not intended as medical advice. If you have those kinds of questions, please contact your health care provider.
