034. Mimmi Kotka | Lavaredo Ultra Trail 2022 win, dealing with RED-S, building a sustainable career and future

Mimmi Kotka is a professional trail and ultra runner from Sweden sponsored by La Sportiva.

Last weekend she won Lavaredo Ultra Trail, a 120km - 6000m of elevation race in the Italian Dolomites and one of the most famous and iconic ultra trail races in the world.

We talk about her race strategy, the difficulties that she handled, especially in the last section of race, and what this win meant to her.

We also talk about how her professional running career started, her most competitive years and best performances in the sport, her struggles with RED-S and how she dealt with it, finally coming back to train and race like she knows she can.

Get inspired! follow Mimmi and discover Moonvalley, a plant based sport nutrition company, that she founded with her friends and athletes Ida Nilsson and Emelie Forsberg.
