The Relationship Between Weight, Nutrition, Disordered Eating, and Chronic Illness

Welcome back to the Two Much Lyme podcast. In this episode, Maddy and Julia dive deep into the relationship between weight and chronic illness. Fluctuations in weight are incredibly common with Lyme disease and invisible illness in general. Between food allergies, various medications, and inflammation, weight is another thing out of our control. While highlighting the importance of healthy nutrition, they discuss the challenges of adhering to a “diet” plan and how disordered eating habits can easily creep in. Julia and Maddy vulnerably discuss their personal experiences with this relationship and the inappropriate comments about weight common in our society.
