That could be washing the dishes, Stretching, Folding laundry, Or even doodling on a piece of paper. Or, if you just don’t feel like doing anything, That’s okay. Just be here in a position that’s comfortable for you, And be present to the words. PAUSE… As you begin your activity, See if you can let go of those expectations you might have for what a meditation is supposed to be, And instead, Trust this practice today, Surrendering yourself fully to the words, The music, And the activity you’ve chosen. PAUSE… The guidance here will be brief, So that you can submerge yourself in the movements of your activity. PAUSE… Take a big, deep breath in, Filling your lungs and your belly with the fresh air of the morning, And as you breathe out, Release your thoughts, Your emotions, And give yourself to your activity. PAUSE… Embrace it fully, Whatever movements occur, And just allowing yourself to concentrate on the movement of your body, And the rhythm of your breath. PAUSE… When thoughts arise, Just breathe them out with your exhale, And return your attention to your activity. LONG PAUSE… The music will continue here for awhile, Accompanying you as you complete your activity, And practice the freedom that comes as you concentrate on your movement, Rather than your mind.
