More about today’s guest: Donna H. Hartman concentrates her practice in the areas of corporate legal affairs, general corporate, commercial transactions, due diligence, acquisitions/dispositions, legal and regulatory compliance, beverage alcohol compliance, employment law, and intellectual property management. Donna previously served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary to Rémy Cointreau USA, Inc., a global industry leader of premium beverage alcohol products. She was a member of the Executive Management Team charged with ensuring the company’s success as one of the fastest growing premium spirits companies in the U.S. Prior to working at Rémy Cointreau, Donna worked for ReedSmith, LLP, an internationally recognized law firm, where she represented parties involved in sophisticated equity financings including public offerings, private placements, resales of securities, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital. She counseled clients with respect to employment, consulting, licensing, intellectual property, real estate matters and distribution agreements. Donna received her B.S. in Marketing from Rutgers University and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. She is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey. Donna is a member of the New York and New Jersey State Bar Associations, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and Association of Corporate Counsel. Donna has held the following posts at the National Association of Beverage Importers, Inc. (NABI), Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors; Chairman, Vice Chairman & Secretary of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Succession Planning Committee, and Member of the Wine Committee. In addition, Donna was an Executive Committee Member and Member of the DISCUS Code Board of Responsible Marketing of the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS).
