Abstract: In 2005 Apple officially added podcasting to its iTunes Music Library. In a live interview in 2006, Steve Jobs demonstrated how anybody could create a podcast using their Mac and share it with the world. In 2013 Apple announced 1 billion podcast subscribers and in 2020 Joe Rogan signed an exclusive podcast deal with Spotify for $100m+. What does this growth mean in terms of podcast potential as a wine sales channel? How can wine producers use podcasting to increase sales? Is it possible to successfully harness podcast audiences and create wine sales through listens? What strategies are available to create wine sales through pods? Which are the most effective wine podcasts for driving wine sales increases? In this round table session, seasoned podcasters MJ Towler, Felicity Carter, Juliana Colangelo IWA and Adam Teeter explore the opportunity for using podcasts as sales channels for wine.
