Today, he will be interviewing Paolo d’Urso More about today’s guest Paolo D’Urso is passionate about wine, particularly lesser-known grape varieties and small producers. He was fortunate to be born in Spoleto and to have discovered Trebbiano Spoletino about twenty years ago, during the early years of the "rebirth" of this wonderful grape variety. Paolo studied at the Montefalco delegation of the Italian Sommelier Association, where he refined his palate and discovered the intricacies of wine tasting. He has also lived abroad, in Germany, Japan, and Poland, where he worked as a sommelier at some Italian restaurants and found himself again by returning to Spoleto, where he can be in contact day after day with wineries, producers, and restaurants. Born in Mexico, with a mother from Hawaii via Korea and an anthropologist father from New York via Paris, he was weaned on exotic and delicious foods. Marc and his photographer wife Kim are the authors of 14 books including a pioneering series of illustrated wine-food-travel books: The Wine Roads of Europe, The Wine Roads of France, The Wine Roads of Italy (Premio Barbi Colombini), and The Wine Roads of Spain.
