Current Events: Episode 9!

This week we discuss county Emergency Management agencies restructuring to combat future disasters and a series of tornadoes that swept through Iowa, leaving seven dead. Finally, in honor of National Women's Month, Destination Disaster wanted to dedicate the final portion of the episode to Avagene Moore. With her recent passing, we at Destination Disaster want to ensure her legacy is known and continues to live on. A trailblazer in her own right, Avagene helped advance the importance of Emergency Management and Homeland Security at both the state and Federal level. Her legacy lives on through the work she has accomplished.
