(#006) Antarctica Sucks

(#006) Antarctica Sucks

We love Antarctica, or we wouldn’t have kept going back year after year. But there are aspects of being there and working there that, well, sucked.

In this episode, we dig into the challenges and drawbacks of living and working in Antarctica. The extreme cold and harsh weather conditions can be physically challenging, of course, but they weren’t the only challenges we met.

Improving the sucky things in Antarctica requires awareness, open communication, and a commitment to creating a better environment. Some of the challenges can be improved upon, and others (like the conditions) are simply part of the experience, which is also what makes it special.

Because there are so many MORE things that we LOVE about Antarctica… understanding what’s hard about being “on the ice” helps us make it better.
