On today's episode of Locked On Stars, Sam Nestler joins the show to discuss all things Dallas Stars offseason! In part 1 of our conversation, Sam shares his story on the relationship of Jake Oettinger and Scott Wedgwood and how Wedgewood's departure could play a role in Otters play next season. Joey asks for Sam's perspective on the Stars Free Agency and the signings of players like Ilya Lyubushikin, Matt Dumba, Brendan Smith and more. In the next segment, we look at the next contracts of certain players like Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin who will be 35 for their next deal, Jake Oettinger who will look for a long term deal after next season and Thomas Harley who is still looking for his bridge deal. In part 2, Sam and Joey continue to look at the Dallas Stars cap situation and how players fit into the future like Logan Stankoven, Wyatt Johnston etc. To wrap up the episode, Joey and Sam go back and fourth on the Ryan Suter buyout, Nils Lundkvist and where they see the Stars finishing at the end of next season within the Western Conference.
