Episode 39 - with guest Alice Davies

This week's guest is Alice Davies.

Alice runs A.D. Dog Training, a force free dog walking and training service. Having worked with numerous dogs in a variety of settings her true passion (or some say obsession!) for dog training was ignited and grew alongside her first dog a an adult, Maisie. Maisie has been Alice's companion for over 14yrs and has helped teach her a tremendous amount but most importantly how to slow down and be more mindful. In recent years Alice and her family have also welcomed a Romanian rescue, Evie, into the home who continues to challenge and improve her skills on a daily basis!

Taking up dog walking as a part time job during studies Alice soon came to the realisation that a full time career working with dogs was not only possible but would also be a dream come true! Walking dogs and spending so much time with them allowed invaluable insight into their behaviour and body language. Reading and researching as much as possible and carrying out many courses during this time Alice endeavoured to learn as much as she could about ethical, force-free training to ensure she was up to date with current knowledge and scientific research. Currently a student with PACT (Professional Association of Canine Trainers) Alice is always eager to learn more and expand on her expertise.

Alice aims to help dogs, and their humans, live happy, harmonious lives. She believes dogs should be allowed to be dogs, but within safe boundaries, ensuring they can live and thrive in our human-filled world.
