Who Killed Atlanta's Children Part 1

Who Killed Atlanta's Children Part 1

On this week's episode Tay discusses the first part of the killings that later become known as the Atlanta child murders. Between the years of 1979 and 1981 about 29 African American children, teens, and adults were kidnapped and murdered in the city of Atlanta. After months of pushing from the mothers of these children eventually the Atlanta Police Department, the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, and the FBI form a missing and murdered children's task force where they theorize that the killings of the majority of these individuals are the work of a serial killer. In this episode Tay talks about the history of Atlanta, the racial tensions bubbling at the time during this case, and the tragic disappearances and murders of Edward Hope Smith, Alfred Evans, Milton Harvey, Yusef Bell, Angel Lanier, Jeffery Mathis, Eric Middlebrooks, Christopher Richardson, LaTonya Wilson, Aaron Wyche, Anthony Carter, Earl Terrell, Clifford Jones, Darron Glass, Charles Stephens, Aaron Jackson, Patrick Rogers, Lubie Geter, Terry Pue, Patrick Baltazar, Curtis Walker, Joseph Bell, Timothy Hill, Eddie Duncan, Larry Rogers, Michael McIntosh, Jimmy Ray Payne, John Porter, and William Barret. In this episode there is descriptions of violence against children, child murders, and child sexual abuse. Please listen with care.
