The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Training Season is Over

As one door closes another door opens. With Training Season over, we enter podcast & livestream season.

I want to start off by thanking everyone who attended training with us in 2024. This was a super successful season, we saw the return of Marc Taylor and entry of Chris Way with our classes. We also had a lot of support and help from Laura during some tough times both recently and in the past. So again thank you to everyone who made it work in 2024.

Ended the season in a couple of locations, we did 2 classes in Ohio then I did a class and a clinic in Virginia finally ending our season in Fort Morgan with an Army Section. Each class had its own unique challenges that in the end, opened my mind to new possibilities.

We tested a lot of variations for classes as well as several tools like using a Starlink system to access the internet on the range. All these tools will enhance the Hide TV experience which is my end goal. On top of providing the very best training possible.

With Podcast season starting up, expect at least 2 episodes a week and at least one of them to be simulcast live on Hide TV. These will have lesson, guest speakers and more. Hide TV is moving forward, we are super happy with the progress and the reception.

To all from US,

Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thank for interacting and being a part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast.

The Everyday Sniper Episode 54 Tikka Tac A1, 100 Yard Zero

The Everyday Sniper Episode 54 Tikka Tac A1, 100 Yard Zero

The Everyday Sniper Episode 54 Tikka Tac A1, 100 Yard Zero In this episode, we talk about the Tikka Tac A1 rifle in 260REM. I upgraded my Tikka to a Bartlein Left Hand Gain Twist Barrel in 260. I talk about the results, the process, etc. That brings me to discussing our zeros.  We should all be using a 100 yard zero unless our scopes has a reticle that requires a different zero.  But we want to fine tune our zeros via the software using a True Range Zero.  The Hornady video on YT explains this as well I have a Utility in ColdBore 1.0 that helps determine the distance. From a True Range Zero we go into shaving errors, what can we control and how do we resolve these variables properly. I appreciate everyone listening, sharing and subscribing to the Everyday Sniper Podcast Cheers,

The Everyday Sniper Episode 50 Scope Reticles, .22 Scale Factor

The Everyday Sniper Episode 50 Scope Reticles, .22 Scale Factor

The Everyday Sniper Episode 50 Scope Reticles, .22 Scale Factor  Frank here from Sniper's Hide in this episode we talk scope buying advice and what to look for in a reticle.  Your decision should first be based on your budget, then look at the reticles.  The reticle is your point of interaction with the scope, how well you understand and accept the reticle matters.  .22 Scale factor,  because .22 competitions are getting big, we want to understand how to scale our .22 rifle to match our centerfire drop. So there are several methods for determining your scale factor.   I mention Ballistic Edge and FinnAccuracy for two examples.  You can download the FinnAccuracy Excel Spreadsheet which I highly recommend.  Looking forward to my Vudoo Gun Works .22 to arrive in the next few days.
