NHL Network recently ranked Dougie Hamilton as one of the top 20 defensemen in the entire league. They placed him at number 12 and it really shows how far Hamilton has come within a year span. Last season, he wasn't even ranked despite being a Norris Trophy finalist in 2021. Hamilton had a monstrous season that saw himself breaking Scott Stevens' record for most goals by a New Jersey Devils defenseman in a single season.
