Head Start Changed My Life with Nikkia Mosley

Today we sat down with Nikkia Mosley an accomplished professional with 26 years of experience in the Head Start program, EHS, CCP, MSHS, and Home base. She currently serves as the Executive Director for Fort Valley State University. Nikkia’s journey in the field of early childhood education began when she started as a Head Start parent. Over the years, she has held various roles within the Head Start program, including teacher, center manager, coordinator, and Head Start director. Nikkia Mosley’s educational background includes an MBA and a Master’s degree in Human Resources. Her expertise and dedication to early childhood education have led her to work in six out of the twelve regions, including regions 11 and 12. Nikkia is a well-respected figure in the field and has been invited to present at prestigious events such as the National Head Start Association (NHSA), New Migrant Seasonal Head Start Association (NMSHA), South Carolina Fatherhood Collaboration, and she is also a UCLA Head Start Fellow. Nikkia Mosley has also served on the executive board of directors for the National Migrant Head Start Association for 4 years. Throughout her career, Nikkia Mosley has demonstrated a deep commitment to improving early childhood education and advocating for children’s rights. Her extensive experience, coupled with her academic qualifications, make her a valuable asset to the Fort Valley State University community and the broader field of early childhood education.
