The Masterclass Episode 41 | Manchester United v Villa | Champions League Secured for Next Season!

This week Haider Rubbani & Rob Blanchette sit down to analyse Manchester United's tactical performance against Dean Smith's Villa side. After the cancellation of the Liverpool game last weekend, this game starts a run of 4 games within 7 days for the Red Devils.

Manchester United are unbeaten in their last 21 Premier League away games against Aston Villa since a 3-1 loss on the opening day of the 1995-96 campaign. It's the longest unbeaten away run one side has had against another in English top-flight history.Villa on the other hand have lost nine Premier League matches in 2021 - only three sides have fared worse. The Villans lost only four of their 14 league fixtures this season before the turn of the year. They are aiming to win consecutive league games for the first time since December.

Great 2nd half performance for United as they came back from behind to win for the 10th time in this fashion. Ole's men went behind after a mistake by Lindelof allowed Traore to score a cracking top corner finish. Bruno put away another penalty in the 2nd half followed by a fantastic turn and finish by Mason to score his 11th of the season. Cavani scored a trademark header with a fantastic run from a Marcus Rashford cross. That win secured CL football in consecutive seasons for the first time since SAF left in 2013. Big week coming up with games against Leicester and Liverpool.
