Shelby Leigh has over 15 years of professional experience supporting folks with trauma and a lifetime of healing the Complex PTSD that she carries - ignited by a fascination for what truly grows embodied resilience, connection, and thriving. In her years as a licensed somatic psychotherapist, a 2x certified coach, meditation teacher, and gentle breathwork facilitator, she has become deeply interested in identifying how to create spaces that are truly welcoming, inclusive, and aware so that people who have experienced trauma feel safe enough to be able to receive the support they seek. Shelby is in awe of the capability of her students when supported with kind awareness, who have ranged from teens on mindfulness retreats to hundreds of adult students in their certification process as Sex, Love & Relationship coaches studying tantra and becoming mindful of their powerful impact within the therapeutic relationship through trauma awareness.

She is also passionate about empowering people to be resilient, resourced, in integrity, deeply supported in the healing of their own wounds, and is especially devoted to honoring and supporting folks of marginalized identities, people of color, and fellow LGBTQ+ folks, all of whose voices she believes are fundamental to include in any conversations about trauma awareness.

From her current home in Bend OR, Shelby enjoys the creative balance between growing her own resilience through a lot of time near a river in the sunshine or on the river whitewater kayaking, teaching trauma awareness workshops, offering retreats, facilitating consultation groups, and seeing individual clients in person and online worldwide.
