After a more than disappointingly dull game versus Preston where neither side appeared to turn up we pour over the performance and the position the club currently sits in with no threat of promotion or relegation – plus we talk a lot about food – which says a lot about the lack of incident during the afternoon. Justin and Pete chat with Dave from the "Blue Monday" podcast about Ipswich Towns last two seasons, a manager that will presumably poached at some point but doing just fine for the moment thank you! The squad still mainly intact from a promotion winning campaign from League 1 has been supplemented with a few January window loans giving the manager in game options and we discuss how this combination has helped see Town have a second straight campaign of success getting points and goals from substitutes (including some who Watford may or may not have been hoping to bring in) ! We take time to disparage Crystal Palace before looking at the domino effect of manager movement in the Premier League and asking why Sarmiento has Pete's Nan's hair! A performance we would have taken at any point this season and a result we would all have taken before the game, however at 2-0 up you have to have a look at how the game gets away from us and ends in a draw. As ever fans balance out views and opinions and some put a large percentage of the blame on one player but others are of the view that we win, draw and lose as a team and that for the second game running our first choice strikers when removed leave a gap in terms of restricting the opposition from getting back into the game. Whatever your view if you wish to voice your opinion on your team then you are welcome to do so - no one is obliged to agree, disagree or comment - this is a conversation not a conversion. Most seem really pleased with Tom and the direction the team is going in some want him full time, others say "lets take our time" and see how things progress - but no one is unimpressed with the change in dynamic coming from the team - well done Tom - fingers crossed it all continues as impressively as it has started. Plus we get to find out what is going on with the Scottish Premier League when it splits in two and how good are the goalkeepers north of the border!!
