Bavarian Podcast Works: Preview Show — Bayern Munich vs. Dynamo Kyiv (Champions League)

Bayern Munich is set to play yet another match in what seem like it has already been a loaded season. The Champions League is upon us and that means plenty of “English” weeks in the near future. While Dynamo Kyiv might not be the strongest of opponents for Bayern Munich, the Bavarians can ill-afford to take any squad lightly. Here is what we have on tap for this episode: A caution to be wary because Ukraine is having itself a good stretch. A quick look at Dynamo Kyiv. A complete and utter guess at what Julian Nagelsmann might do with this lineup. A prediction on the match. As always, thanks for your support and let us know what you think!Be sure to stay tuned to Bavarian Podcast Works for all of your up to date coverage on Bayern Munich and Germany. Bavarian Podcast Works S4E8: Is Benjamin Pavard good enough for Bayern Munich, Niklas Sule’s leaked chats, the Werner debacle, and more!

Bavarian Podcast Works S4E8: Is Benjamin Pavard good enough for Bayern Munich, Niklas Sule’s leaked chats, the Werner debacle, and more!

Bayern Munich have completed another week of football which saw the team beat SpVgg Greuther Furth 3-1 (and nothing else, because the Bundesliga schedule isn’t hell-bent on murdering players). There were some interesting stories which broke during the week, including a series of leaked messages involving Niklas Sule and his agent, plus the news that Timo Werner WAS indeed supposed to join the Bavarians at some point. Plenty to talk about. In this episode, Ineednoname and Schnitzel01 discuss:Mandatory pre-pod Arsenal banter. Is Benjamin Pavard good enough for Bayern Munich? What are the alternatives to playing him? What Niklas Sule’s leaked WhatsApp messages mean for his standing within the club. Bullying Sule for his choice of clubs in the Premier League (Tottenham? Seriously?)Whether the failed Timo Werner transfer confirms the presence of division in the club. A surprising plot twist near the end of the podcast. A preview of next week’s potential topic. As always, thanks for your support and let us know what you think!Be sure to stay tuned to Bavarian Podcast Works for all of your up to date coverage on Bayern Munich and Germany. Bayern Munich shook off the crazy news that broke earlier in the day put another beatdown on another Bundesliga opponent. This time, it was SpVgg Greuther Fürth.Bayern Munich put forth a strong offensive effort and was never really seriously challenged defensively. In what has been a season full of dominant efforts, Julian Nagelsmann’s boys once again took care of business. Here is a quick synopsis of what we cover on the podcast: A little bit different look for the starting lineup as the posted formation sure didn’t look like what we saw on the pitch. That unfortunate red card for Benjamin Pavard. The courage of SpVgg Greuther FürthThe continued excellence of Thomas Müller and Joshua Kimmich (even if he does need a rest).Be sure to stay tuned to Bavarian Podcast Works for all of your up to date coverage on Bayern Munich and Germany. The Bayern Munich machine is rolling along and plowing through any team that gets in its way. Last week, it was VfL Bochum and over the next few days we will see the Bavarians take on SpVgg Greuther Fürth and FC Dynamo Kyiv. Given its recent strength, Bayern Munich should add two more wins to its already stellar record. Regardless, there was still a lot to talk about off the pitch this week with Bayern Munich. Let’s take a look at some of the big stories from this week, including: The squad’s incredible depth.Benjamin Pavard’s desire to move to center-back and what that means for the squad’s future roster planning. The recent rumors surrounding Antonio Rüdiger.Robert Lewandowski’s commitment to Bayern Munich. As always, thanks for your support and let us know what you think!Be sure to stay tuned to Bavarian Podcast Works for all of your up to date coverage on Bayern Munich and Germany. Bavarian Podcast Works: Preview Show — Greuther Fürth vs Bayern Munich (Hinrunde)

Bavarian Podcast Works: Preview Show — Greuther Fürth vs Bayern Munich (Hinrunde)

Bayern Munich travels to Greuther Fürth in a Bavarian derby this weekend. Fürth is at the bottom of the table with only one point to their name, having been thrashed by VfB Stuttgart on opening weekend. They lost to Hertha Berlin last weekend after having gone up a goal courtesy of a Branimir Hrgota penalty. In this podcast, we take a look at some changes Julian Nagelsmann might make ahead of Bayern’s game against Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League in midweek; we also look at Greuther Fürth’s struggles and how we think this game will go. We wonder if Marcel Sabitzer might get a start and if Joshua Kimmich (gasp) might get a rest!As always, thanks for your support and let us know what you think!Be sure to stay tuned to Bavarian Podcast Works for all of your up to date coverage on Bayern Munich and Germany. Bavarian Podcast Works S4E7: Did Nagelsmann fix Leroy Sane, Bayern’s defensive masterclass, UEFA’s awful new FFP, and more!

It’s been a tough week of games following the end of the international break, but Julian Nagelsmann and Bayern Munich have navigated them brilliantly. The Bavarians have scored 14 goals and conceded only once since coming back from international duty, which included games against the likes of RB Leipzig and Barcelona. Now, with a whole week’s break to look forward to, we can finally stop and take stock of how far the team has come since Julian Nagelsmann took over. In this episode, Tom and Ineednoname discuss:Is Leroy Sane fixed? What did Nagelsmann do to him? How Bayern’s wingers are improving under the new coach. What Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka’s contract extensions mean for Bayern (and Germany).Talking about Bayern’s revamped defense, including our best backline. UEFA’s new FFP rules, and why they’re awful. Why the 50+1 rule is set to face another challenge. As always, thanks for your support and let us know what you think! Bavarian Podcast Works Postgame Show: Talking points from Bayern Munich victory over VfL Bochum

Bavarian Podcast Works Postgame Show: Talking points from Bayern Munich victory over VfL Bochum

Bayern Munich scored seven goals on a gorgeous day in Munich (finally, a home game!), showcasing their talents out there and just having fun! The score at half time was 4-0 thanks to goals from Leroy Sané, Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry and an own goal. The score-line gave Julian Nagelsmann the chance to rest Alphonso Davies and bring on Richards for his debut.Bayern added a fifth from Robert Lewandowski, a sixth from Joshua Kimmich and a seventh from Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting; Choupo’s goal was his 50th goal of his Bundesliga career, a milestone.Marcel Sabitzer and Bouna Sarr also got minutes on the pitch; Sabitzer hopefully might get a start against Greuther Fürth but, perhaps, Nagelsmann didn’t feel he was ready yet.Thomas Müller seemed to have scored an eighth; unfortunately, the goal wouldn’t stand because of VAR. A Müller goal would have been perfect to wrap up the day but it wasn’t to be today.Be sure to stay tuned to Bavarian Podcast Works for all of your up to date coverage on Bayern Munich and Germany.
