Time to Tank? Red Wings Season Check-in and Cossa's Case to Play - Dec. 8th, 2024

Has reality set in on the Detroit Red Wings season?

Tune in as we start by discussing Derek Lalonde's squad's two most recent losses, including a late heartbreaker against Brady Tkachuk's Ottawa Senators (including a brutal call on Marco Kasper, Alex DeBrincat scoring against his former squad, Norris beating Husso, & more) (4:25) and a "same old" loss against the Colorado Avalance (including Lucas Raymond's goal off a Dylan Larkin shot & not much else) (16:00). We then get into whether this season is a write-off and Steve Yzerman's Hockeytown team is truly in tank mode for Hagens, Schaefer, Martone, Frondell, or Misa, with players like Kane, Compher, Copp, Tarasenko, and others not performing and only the likes of Larkin, Raymond, DeBrincat, Moritz Seider, and Simon Edvinsson carrying the team (20:40).

We then discuss how bad the rest of the Atlantic has been including the Buffalo Sabres, Montreal Canadiens, and Ottawa Senators, before discussing whether Sebastian Cossa should get playing time with Alex Lyon and Cam Talbot still out (39:48).

Finally, the Jacob Trouba saga ends, how Steve Yzerman and the Detroit Red Wings played into the story, Drury escaping the contract and paying Shesterkin, & more (including Luke Richardson being fired) (52:55) before we take your questions & comments in our Overtime segment (1:05:35) - enjoy!
