SOCCER SATURDAY - INDY ELEVEN for 10/10/20

(00:00-02:24) – In the opening segment of this week’s edition of Soccer Saturday with Greg Rakestraw, he welcomes you to the show by previewing the conversations he will have later on in the show and explaining how rough the final twelve games of the season were for the boys in blue.

(05:28-18:51) – The CEO of the Indy Eleven in Greg Stremlaw makes an appearance on the first off-season show of Soccer Saturday to tell you about the silver linings about the season even though it didn’t end the way he hoped, how critically important it is to have the same club culture from management to the player, and sheds some light on potential changes to the USL for next season.

(21:52-34:12) – Head Coach Martin Rennie returns to Soccer Saturday to explain what he’s been doing the last seven days, if there is a point of the season that he can identify as the turning point where things went from being really good to not so good, and how difficult the schedule was without facing the lower level opponents to help get the team back on track.

(37:14-51:50) – A very well known guest on the show in Devon Kerr, lead analyst of the USL, to share his thoughts on a post-season without seeing the Indy Eleven in it, how there might be something behind Andrew Carleton not being utilized as much as he has in the past (only 51 minutes per game this season), and what the difference between this Indy Eleven club versus last year’s club.

(54:50-56:49) – Greg wraps up the first off-season edition of Soccer Saturday by updating you on how some of the local soccer coaches are doing, reminds you about what is going on in the EPL, and thanks everyone involved for making today’s show possible.
