"Joe" and Cuyahoga County John Doe

"Joe" and Cuyahoga County John Doe

A man named "Joe" tragically met his demise while walking in the Euclid Creek Reservation in South Euclid, Ohio on May 8th, 1981. Accompanied by three other individuals, he, unfortunately, fell off a cliff.

Joe, a Caucasian male, possessed brown hair that was described as thin, indicating possible hair loss. His brown eyes contained lighter shades within them, and he sported a beard and mustache. Standing at a height of 5'7" and weighing 146 pounds, he had a slender physical appearance.

Among his belongings, Joe was discovered with suntan oil, two bottles of bonnie bell lotion, ultra brite toothpaste, a green toothbrush, two Bic razors, four cleansing wipes, and a plastic vial. These items were found alongside a Lee brand blue denim jacket (size 38 regular).

The attire he wore consisted of a plaid flannel shirt in blue, brown, tan, and white, bearing the Grodins Brand. His pants were tan Levi Strauss, and he had on a medium-sized brown vinyl jacket from the L'avion brand. Additionally, he wore a large-sized brown belt by Anne Klein. For footwear, he had orange ankle boots in size 8.5.

Regrettably, on July 26, 1981, an individual was observed tragically leaping to their demise from the Detroit-Superior bridge. The specific location of this incident was approximately 100 feet south of Merwin Avenue.

Unfortunately, there is limited information available regarding this individual. However, here is what we do know. The person was identified as a Caucasian male, likely aged between 45 and 55. Standing at a height of 5'10" and weighing 143 pounds, he had brown straight hair of considerable length. He possessed a graying brown mustache and beard. Although described as hazel, his eyes appear blue in post-mortem images.

It appears that he was missing at least two front teeth, and potentially more towards the back. This suggests a lack of access to dental care for several years, possibly even decades.

In terms of attire, he was discovered wearing a single blue quilted jacket from K Mart, which was sized small. He also had on a light blue, green, and beige flannel shirt, along with plaid flannel pants in shades of brown, blue, gray, and white. Notably, he wore mismatched socks, one blue and the other black, with a possibility of a third sock layered beneath the blue one according to NamUs records. Blue Converse shoes were also present, although the size is not specified. Additionally, a white belt is visible in the clothing photographs provided by NamUs.
