Ep16: Dr. Sebastian on Shifting Focus From Western to Eastern Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, Also Mr. WellnessForHou!

We kick off Ep16 sharing how Alexis and Dr. Sebastian met at one of the first WellnessForHou events back in 2021 and the rest is history!

Then we dive into Dr. Sebastian’s story growing up in Quito, Ecuador studying medicine to become an MD. However, after feeling limited and burnt out helping patients in hospital environments, he decided to move to Houston to obtain his Masters and Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to help people from a holistic, preventive perspective. Now, he works at Templ Wellness and occasionally other clinics, where he helps our community heal stress/anxiety, aches/pain/tension, hormone imbalances, and more! His focus niche specifically is pediatrics, sports medicine and men’s health. Sebastian is fluent in English and Spanish and knows a little French which we love because that expands the community of individuals he can help! Dr. Sebastian gives great examples of how acupuncture can help patients, the differences between eastern and western medicine, and his own wellness tips!
