On today’s special holiday disastersode, we’re visiting a story so unbelievable, NASA actually used it as a diagnostic to pre-screen test applicants. They study it for inaccuracies. Their record so far is 168. Let’s see how we do.

On this very special Disaster Moviesode: we’re revisiting the cinematic spectacle of Michael Bay’s 1998 end-of-the-world Action Adventure Sci-Fi Thriller, monster smash hit, Armaggeddon. You will hear about people being ejected into space by their faces, and turned into paté by meteors, but not everything you hear today will necessarily gel with your understanding of how science or human behaviour is supposed to work.

On the plus side, you will learn your survival odds after being jettisoned into space, so that’s always nice. You’ll learn how space shuttles, asteroids and even simple geography do and do not work. And you’ll learn way more about your anus and urethra than you ever knew.
