Jed York explains 49ers roster exodus influenced by Brock Purdy contract, confident both sides come to deal

At the 2025 NFL Annual Meeting, 49ers CEO Jed York revealed their offseason free-agency approach heavily was influenced by the decision as an organization to pay quarterback Brock Purdy. The 49ers dialed back their spending this offseason in preparation for the largest contract in franchise history, an investment York said the organization's brass is aligned with.
