Moving From Paris to NYC to Launch a French Bakery

The owners of Crème Caramelle captured our hearts with their French charm and left our mouths watering for homemade pastries. We met them virtually via a chatroom on Clubhouse and were so drawn to their story that we had to have them on the podcast! Elisa and Ilana met five years ago at a friend's dinner in NYC. They bonded over their love of culinary arts and began spending Sunday mornings in the kitchen. After they both received their degrees, they decided to take the leap and launch Crème Caramelle - an online French bakery located in SoHo with the goal to spread a little taste of Paris to the streets of New York. Both Eli and Ila were greatly inspired by their grandmother’s passion for cooking and are determined to keep their heritage alive, with a modern twist. The girls are marketing geniuses as they’ve already attracted the attention of huge social media accounts and their wedding cake made it into Vogue Magazine. Listen along for the full glow-up story on how these girls launched a business in a pandemic, how they’ve made it all happen, and their big plans for the future. Crème Caramelle is going to be huge someday - mark our words! NYC LISTENERS: MAY 23RD, 2021, Crème Caramelle is doing a collab with a fresh market located in the Essex Market called @alimentariflaneur! For the partnership, they created a special Chocolate Carob & Fig Tart and they will be selling those as well as their original tarts (Raspberry, Strawberry, and Apple) on their stand at the Essex Market (Lower East Side) on May 23rd.
