Ep 169: Sexual Energy, Empowerment, and Healing with Natasha Edwina.  Natasha is an LMFT, an alternative and holistic coach, a hypnotherapist, and a consultant with a focus on pleasure, spirituality, and healing through pleasure. She highlights female sexuality topics that attend to states prior to dysfunction or problems occurring. She also teaches how diet affects both our sexuality and our mental health.  She zones in on the significance of the breath to connect with yourself first before sexual relations. She discusses how women experience pleasure and orgasms differently than men in that they have rolling hills of bliss rather than the hard and fast route to climax and enjoyment. She says, "Don't miss the subtle energy" of the rise of pleasure to orgasm (or not orgasm, but always pleasure).   Heterosexual couples: She talks about the importance of foreplay and how it's not just about touch. It begins way before the sexual encounter. This is a very epic and amazingly informative episode for women and men too!  Jordan D'Nelle is a Physician Associate, Women's Sexual Health Educator, Intimacy Coach, and speaker. She is the founder of the Vaginas, Vulvas, and Vibrators Podcast. Her goal is to raise awareness about conditions, sexuality, sexual intimacy and relationships that specifically affect women. She wants to help normalize women's health and create a safe space for women to feel validated. She has been featured in Cosmopolitan magazine, Women's Health Magazine, and many other podcasts. She is a resident blogger for ForPlay films. She has helped many woman overcome shame and have better intimacy with themselves and their partners. Jordan and I shared an amazing discussion. We chatted about how erotica is a tool, a resource to improve your sex life, as are sex toys. She addressed how poor sex ed is in the US because it has always focused on the male and ignores the female, and shame starts there. We need to rewrite these stories as we create more comprehensive and thorough sex ed now and include both sexes in all discussions.
